Healthy short-term stress is a natural and important part of life. However, the constant demands and ‘busy-ness’ of modern life can lead to chronic stress, which affects our concentration, mood regulation and sleep, often resulting in anxiety, dissociation, frustration and burnout.

 

Based in neuroscience, the practice of mindfulness is internationally recognised as an effective way to reduce stress, increase self-awareness, strengthen memory and concentration, and skilfully handle anxiety, depression, worry and pain. Practicing mindfulness enhances emotional intelligence, creates greater resilience and empathy, improves performance, facilitates better relationships and even boosts the immune system.

 

Participants report feeling happier, calmer, more balanced and less reactive to difficulties and challenges in their lives. Sleep quality and energy levels improve and a deeper, longer-lasting sense of happiness and connection with life is often experienced.

Programs

Mindful Living Courses consist of four sessions delivered once a week over four consecutive weeks.

Each session focuses on a different aspect of mindfulness and covers both the theory and practice of mindfulness in everyday life. Participants learn how to establish an ongoing daily personal practice as well as mindfulness practices for different challenges in life. Recordings of the main mindfulness practices are included to assist participants to establish an ongoing practice.

    • Session 2 – Overcoming Worry and Dealing with Negative Thoughts
    • Session 3 – From Reacting to Responding: Increasing Resilience
    • Session 4 – Foundations of Emotional Intelligence, Mindful Leadership and Happiness

The Mindful Living One Day Workshop covers similar material to the Mindful Living 4 Week Course and is delivered over one full day. Participants are given the opportunity to practice the tools and ask questions during the workshop. Refresher Sessions are then an ideal way to remain committed to the practice, providing an opportunity to engage in guided practice, have questions answered, and continue learning.
